DeLay's Primary Results From Texas
With 62 percent of the vote in the 22nd Congressional District, Tom DeLay won out over three other Republican rivals. As promised free kool-aid was passed out at the precincts to any and all Republican Roaches who voted for him.
Tuesday Texas primary night found DeLay in Washington at a GOP fundraiser hosted by GOP lawmakers-turned-lobbyists [ooh surprise surprise] after casting votes Tuesday in the House, including the one to renew the modified USA Patriot Act.
As DeLay was leaving the fundraiser a reporter asked why he was in Washington. He said: "Do you know what the Patriot Act is? Have you heard of it? I just voted on it." [Oh, yeah you piece of crap, we know what the Patriot Act is, we've heard of it. It's that thingie that gives your partner in crime, Bush, Hitler like control over everyone including God.]
Regardless of the 62 percent of the votes DeLay received that means there are still nearly 40 percent of the Republican vote who bailed on him [heh heh]. In other words, it wasn't the same old slam dunk it usually is.

And...I bet if you dig further, you will find the same thing happened to him that happened to gay people in that state. Only the real extremes on either side voted; not the entire registered group. So this is an even more hollow headline for him! Most simply didn't vote, but the net effect is what always happens when apathy creeps into the process, the extremists win!
Delay has the nod.
Fags aren't allowed equal rights.
Moderates are our downfall, on either side of the issue. Because these people always think in rational beliefs that it won't really happen. I bet today, just like in the past, they are surprised!
Voter's need to be energized and made enthusiastic about the vote so they actually go out and cast it. The age old question, is how does one make that happen? The only ones that ever seem "enthused" are the nuts!
My God, Gary, you've hit the nail on the head.
Texas is the most disgusting place to live at this time as far as politics go.
With the kind of idiots running the DNC in Texas there is no wonder the Republicans run roughshod over them.
If the corruption in the White House isn't enough to get these people motivated then nothing will. I's enough to make one give up but I'm going to fight these bastards until we get them out of office.
